With an instructional and academic leadership background, Jerry Jellig serves as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) administrator in Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia. Jerry Jellig ensures the accessibility of programs to all students by visiting schools and communicating with faculty and leadership around gaps in service or opportunities for growth. His position builds on past roles with DCPS and KIPP DC where we led, supervised, and supported schools in environments where inequity was acute, each year improving the outcomes quantifiably and qualitatively.
Previously, Dr. Jellig served as superintendent of Rancocas Valley Regional High School in suburban Philadelphia. He oversaw staff and faculty hiring and retention while managing the teacher evaluation and professional development process. Guiding athletic and co-curricular programs, he facilitated the construction of a new gymnasium, stadium, plaza, and track complex. He positioned the institution as one with a pioneering board-community-school protocol for setting strategic objectives.
Dr. Jellig earned his BA in history and education at Providence College and had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He completed a master’s in Literacy and Leadership at Johns Hopkins, another in History at Maryland, and Dr. Jellig earned a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
